Braces

Today I went to the orthodontist (someone who puts braces on you). First I got an X-ray. Basically, they had me bite onto a small piece of plastic while this big machine moved around my head. Next, the orthodontist took a look at my teeth and said that I had a strong jaw. Then, mom, me, and the orthodontist talked about my teeth and how my lower jaw is slightly off to my right and that how I have a slight overbite and that my jaw is the last thing to grow in puberty and I'm going to need to have rubber bands in my mouth or else I'm going to have a really bad underbite which means that my lower jaw will stick out and I'll need surgery where they'll have to break my jaw. But the orthodontist was super nice and he said that he'll do whatever he has to so that I won't need surgery. And in two weeks from today, I will get braces! I'm nervous, but excited. He also said that my teeth in the very back that don't really come in until your my age are digging into the roots of the teeth that are in front of them. So here's a list of the most important stuff that I learned today:

  1. The Orthodontist guy is Super nice
  2. X-rays look scary, but are actually very boring
  3. I have a strong jaw that is somewhat over to the right
  4. I will need rubber bands in my mouth soon
  5. I most likely will not need surgery
  6. In two weeks I will get braces
  7. I am going to get teeth pulled out soon.
Last time I went to the dentist in NY, I had 3 teeth pulled out and the Tooth Fairy gave me TEN DOLLARS! It hurt, but it was worth it. I also thought that the tooth that fell out long ago is actually coming in! And also, if you're getting braces and think that they will look ugly on you, most places have clear braces. Allergies To Nickel

I have a horrible allergy to nickel. Whenever I wear ANYTHING made of it, I get these itchy, red bumps that itch for days! In fact, I wore this really nice owl clock necklace that actually works for a day and a half (I took it off at night) and I am trying not to itch the bumps that I have on the back of my neck right now at 3:00 pm. This is because the chain that the owl is on is made of nickel. The bumps have gone down because of this cream my mom got at Hannaford (a store in N.Y.). It's called:
Silvadene Cream.
Neosporin works to, just in different ways. Thanks for viewing!

About Me

Hello again! I just thought I would tell you a little bit about me. I love ice skating, coin collecting, book writing, Taekwondo (self defense), traveling, animals, vanilla ice cream, and basically the usual stuff that a 13-year-old is interested in. I'm really not that interested in clothes and make up as most girls are, though I am saving up my money to buy a laptop to write books on. I write the Andy the Alpaca and Lilly the Llama series and I'm writing a book called: The Weird and Constructive Thoughts of a 13-Year-Old Explained in Words and Charts.  I also have a big brother and a little sister and two wonderful German Shepherds, Thunder and Aurora. Thunder's HUGE and 5 years old while Aurora is small and 2 years old. This Sunday, we are going out on a picnic and to fly kites. Also, tomorrow's Saturday, a week from my birthday! I will be 13! I am having a mini golf party and I want a bubble machine, a camouflage uniform, new shoes, a watch, stuffed animal pandas, a new dress or two, a heart shaped throw pillow, and some Hot Wheels cars. That's all. Thanks for viewing!
